Out and About Campers is a family-run business based in Henfield, Sussex, specialising in high-quality campervan conversions for customers who want to explore the beauty of the outdoors.

When Out and About first approached Artemis, they felt that the quality and standards of their services were not adequately reflected on their website. As they were preparing to expand their offerings with new conversion “builds,” they needed a website that could accommodate this growth and showcase the exceptional quality of their work.

Solution

Artemis developed a bespoke, custom-built WordPress website designed for scalability as the client’s services expand.

The SEO strategy focused on conversion rate optimisation (CRO), incorporating key elements such as unique selling points (USPs), clear call-to-action (CTA) pathways, and social proof. Instagram, video content, and embedded reviews effectively highlighted the quality of the client’s offerings.

Local optimisation played a key role in building visibility within target areas. Geo-targeted pages were created to support local showgrounds and campervan events, ensuring better reach within these communities. Moving forward, the strategy will continue to strengthen this local foundation while enhancing nationwide visibility through improved link authority.

Result

The year-to-date organic performance metrics highlight significant growth and success in 2024. Website traffic has seen an impressive 80% increase compared to 2023, driving more visitors and engagement. Additionally tracked conversions have risen by 49%, demonstrating improved user experience and a higher rate of successful actions taken on the site. In terms of search engine visibility, there has been a substantial 752-term net increase across all Google rankings, with 30 tracked terms now ranking on Page 1 of Google.

Additionally, local search visibility has been bolstered by a 432-term net increase in Google Business Profile (GBP) rankings, further enhancing the brand’s reach and presence in targeted locations. These metrics showcase the effectiveness of the ongoing SEO efforts in both national and local search domains.
