SEO Assistant

You’ll be a recent graduate looking for their first job opportunity in Digital Marketing. Full SEO training will be provided as part of this role. There are opportunities for progression in pay and responsibility subject to strong performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with Search Engine Optimisation including keyword research, uploading and optimising website content
  • Analysing Google Analytics and Search Console to optimise digital campaigns
  • Assisting with and eventually managing your own client campaigns

As our ideal candidate, you will have the following skills:

  • An understanding of marketing principles along with SEO and PPC
  • An organised and diligent individual with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Powerpoint

Salary: up to £18,500


Technical and Development Manager

You will be a highly experienced developer with a great overview of up to date web development techniques as well as an comprehensive knowledge of Exchange mail servers and web servers including Plesk and WHM. Ideally you’ll have a good core understanding of SEO techniques and you’d be expected to work closely with our technical SEO team on implementing web changes as well as overseeing strategy for a limited number of campaigns. You’d also be responsible for liaising with our IT support company to assist with any internal phone system and server/PC issues within the main Artemis office.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Day to day administration of our server including maintenance and security
• Managing, scheduling and implementing WordPress updates across our client base
• Setting up and managing web hosting for our growing list of clients
• Managing website migrations including creation and test of HTaccess file changes
• Code level web changes including plugin and theme development
• Implement user friendly designs for websites, landing pages, and applications from concept through deployment, with a responsive, mobile-first philosophy
• Agreeing and scheduling work and strategy for client SEO campaigns
• Working with the SEO Team when specific skillsets required
• High level IT support within the office
• Overseeing junior support staff

As our ideal candidate, you will have the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of current web development languages, including HTML5, PHP, Javascript/jQuery, PLESK, WHM, Exchange
  • Ability to write clean, organised, and reusable code
  • Strong understanding of responsive design
  • Strong cross browser troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of server setup and administration

SEO Executive

Working alongside our technical director you’ll be responsible for conducting extremely in-depth technical website audits looking at everything from site structure to link profiles and a lot more in between. You will be controlling ongoing SEO strategies for our varied mix of local, national and international SEO clients with valuable thinking time to fully immerse yourself in our clients’ sites and user journeys.

Applicants will be expected to have a good understanding of the search landscape across different devices and search verticals, good understanding of universal search & traditional effective on-page optimisation, multi-lingual optimisation and a real passion for coming up with new ideas and solving complex ranking issues. An understanding and a real technical knowledge of algorithm filters from Pigeon to Panda and all the intricacies associated you will recognise Panda food when you see it and drive recovery. This is a very exciting role with huge potential for career and financial growth in a dynamic and fast growing company.

There is also the possibility of travel to our sunny European office based in Southern Spain.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Formulating and implementing ethical SEO campaigns across our client portfolio
• Providing medium to long term strategic SEO direction
• Monitoring and analysing site performance, ensuring the clients web traffic delivers enquiries/sales of high quality and exceed performance targets
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics & Google Search Console
• Keeping up to date with changes within the search industry

As our ideal candidate, you will have the following skills:

• A high level of technical SEO experience
• Proof of recent SEO campaign success across varied industries
• An understanding of the commercial realities of SEO
• Good knowledge of common CMS including WordPress, Magento, Shopify etc.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS. JavaScript and other programming languages
• Strong & demonstrable ethical Link Building & Link Attraction experience
• Excellent understanding of keyword research and strategic SEO planning
• Working knowledge of Screaming Frog
• The ability to translate SEO geek speak to English so clients understand exactly what is going on

Additional Information:

You will be based in our offices in the beautiful Mid Sussex countryside. We completely understand that complex technical work is sometimes best carried out uninterrupted, therefore there’s also the possibility of splitting some of your time between home working and coming into the office. We’re based in a lovely rural setting just outside Hurstpierpoint just 15 minutes from Brighton or Crawley, so your own transport is essential. No Agencies Please.
